Cancer has affected my family, friends, team mates, etc. It is not fair what cancer is doing and will keep doing! I have pledged to join the fight, and do what I can to find a cure for Cancer.

Cancer has affected my friends and family and taken all of my Meme's siblings from us.
Relay for Life is a great cause and one that is worth a TEAM effort to kick cancer to the curb.
I have a "Love for life" and enjoy each day as every day is a GIFT!
Our team has wonderful ladies and I am honoured to walk beside each of them in this Relay for Life!!

Just coming into this group now (March 2010) is truly an honor. I have watched this group of ladies through time and complete dedication, to help accomplish a dream.
When asked to become a Cosmo Chick I jumped at a chance to support an amazing team! Unfortunately Cancer has taken away too many of my loved ones, and has affected so much of my life! I am stepping up to join in memory of all of my family and friends who have been affected by this horrible disease and for those who have fought the battle and are continuing to fight on a daily basis.
This is a cruel disease that effects both the old and the young.
Together we join hands, and we "CAN" make a difference

I joined the team for several reasons. First and foremost, cancer has taken far too many dear friends and family members. At this very point in time, 4 close family members are battling : ovarian, skin, breast and prostate cancer.
On a lighter note, I witnessed how much fun my friends had on the cosmo chicks team last year and I wanted to be a part of that!

Why I participate in the Cancer Relay for Life: Thirteen years ago my Dad had his left lung removed due to Cancer, he was told he would have five years. I celebrate the doctors and the medical advances that saved my Dad and I celebrate his life! Thirteen years and counting, way to go Dad!! Unfortunately I have lost other family members to this horrible disease, but when you see one survive it makes you want to do what ever you can to help find a cure. I walk the relay for life, as one small contribution to the cure... one person alone may not make a huge impact but together we all can make the difference! Walk with me, or pledge my walk - either way help make the difference!

I have joined the Cosmo Chicks Relay for Life for a number of reasons... I believe there is a cure for cancer lurking out there somewhere ~ every little bit of fund raising helps.
Everyone is affected one way or another by cancer, through family and friends or by experiencing it themselves and we need to step up and do what we can to help find the cure.
This is just a small way that I feel I can help in making a difference. I also wish to personally thank everyone who has helped myself and our team in our fundraising efforts.

I am very proud to be part of this group of women who are so dedicated to such a good cause. I know cancer has touched my life and is still touching my life in some way. Thank God for the courageous ones in my life that are still surviving but continue to battle this disease, as well as the others in my life who have sadly lost the battle but put up a brave fight.

Cancer has affected almost everyone's lives. We have all lost someone close to us to this horrible disease. We all know a survivor.... The Relay For Life provides me with a great opportunity to fight cancer with friends and family. Cancer knows no boundaries, it has touched both men and women, young and old. I hope to meet my own personal goals fundraising and putting forth a great effort to help beat this terrible disease.
